Norton Rose helped Total Access Communication (DTAC) on loans totaling $1.3 billion dollars. Total Access Communication will use the loans to pay for its 3G liscense. DTAC is Thailand’s second-largest mobile operator. The Norton Rose team was lead by partner Somboon Kitiyansub.
Clifford Chance advise Carrefour sale
Clifford Chance is advising Carrefour, the worlds second largest retailer behind Wal-Mart, on its sale of real assets in South East Asia. The sale is reportedly worth $673 million of supermarket operations in Indonesia, as the company is trying to back out and rescale its efforts elsewhere. Based in Hong Kong, CC partners Emma Davies and Peter Kilner led the transaction, with assistance from Mathieu Remy from the Paris office.
Cleary and Shin & Kim advise KEXIM
Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton and Shin & Kim have advised the Bank of Korea (KEXIM) on its issuance of $1 billion 1.25% notes due in 2015. Davis Polk led by partner Eugene Gregor advised the underwriters on the deal.
