Cadwalader has expanded its finance and M&A capabilities in China with the hiring of Special Council Jie Huang. Huang, who was hired from Telstra Corp, has expertise in M&A, private equity, U.S. securities law work, and other compliance and regulatory matters in Asia. At Telstra, Huang served as its China general counsel advising on M&As, post merger integrations, IPOs, and corporate restructuring in China. Before working at Telstra, she was employed at DLA Piper, advising on venture capital and private equity funds.
Morgan Lewis Appoints Former Dewey Partner
Morgan Lewis has hired Ingrid Zhu-Clark to co-manage its Beijing office. Zhu-Clark specializes in overseas investment and acquisitions for Chinese oil and gas companies. She had a special relationship with China National Petroleum Corporation, as well as a number of Dewey & LeBoeuf’s other former clients. Three former Dewey partners in Beijing are currently in negotiations with other firms.
Paul Hastings has appointed a new partner
Paul Hastings announces the hiring of Sean Tai as a partner in the firm’s corporate team in Shanghai. Tai brings over a decade of experience in international M&As, private equity investments, real estate investments and other related financings in China. Tai is also admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong, England, and Wales.
