Hogan Lovells has appointed Alexander McMyn as a banking partner in Singapore. McMyn has a broad practice advising financial institutions and companies on banking, structured finance and asset finance transactions. He has a particular focus on inbound and outbound investments to South-East Asia, particularly Indonesia and India. Recent representative experience includes advising the arrangers on the US$6 billion facilities made available to Vedanta Resources Plc for the US$9 billion acquisition of Cairn India Ltd. He joined from Linklaters in Singapore where he has been based since relocating from their London office in 2008.

Maples and Calder has appointed Tim Clipstone as a partner in its British Virgin Islands office where he will advise on all aspects of BVI and Cayman Islands securities, corporate and partnership law, including the formation, sale, purchase, listing, licensing and restructuring of regulated and unregulated vehicles, joint venture arrangements and corporate governance issues. Clipstone has particular expertise in advising managers and institutional investors on all aspects of investment funds. He was previously a partner with Walkers and with Harney Westwood and Reigels.
